The effects where there is not clarity, conversation and ongoing dialogue with investors/ partners is a painful mix-up of misalignment, reputational spillover, and a sense of being trapped in a narrative that was not what was intended. Investing deeply — financially and personally — in something that doesn’t reflect what it is really about, which is the values of why dharma first, (which is the whole point of the project), the fallout can feel both deeply upsetting and personal.
